Title: Tool board Area of production
The present invention relates to a tool storage system consisting of at least one plate part and at least one tool holder, the plate part having a plurality of through openings, the openings preferably being arranged in horizontal and vertical rows, and wherein the tool holder and the plate part are by corresponding means for fixing the tool holder. in said plate part.
Description of the prior art
It is common knowledge to use tool storage systems where tools - primarily hand tools - are hung on boards mounted on a wall, in a cupboard or other suitable place. These tool boards are provided with hooks or other types of tool holders that are fastened in specially designed holes in the boards. Many of the known types of tool boards are with square holes and with tool holders that need to be mounted and fixed in two holes. Other known types of tool boards are with round holes, where the tool sholders are made of wire or round iron.
Common to the known types of tool boards is that the tool shelves must be fastened with clips, screws or otherwise so as not to fall out of the board, by touch when the tool is ironed off or placed on the board. This helps to make the known solutions either unattractive or complicated and expensive to manufacture. For example, a tool holder can be made with a plate that is fixed to the board with clips or screws and with one or more welded or screwed tool holders made of wire.
Another known type of tool holder is where the holder itself is made of wire / round iron, which is bent and at one end is molded into a plastic blank, where the plastic blank is arranged to be able to be fixed in holes in the tool board with a clip function.
There are additional systems, but the principles are the same - either the tool shells are not very tight or they are fastened with cumbersome and expensive methods.
2 2DK 2008 00084 U3
Thus, all the known types have inconveniences and / or are expensive to manufacture, and it is therefore the purpose of a tool storage system according to the invention to provide a solution where there is an easy, safe and good fixation of the tool holder in a plate part, where both plate part and tool holder is simple and cheap to manufacture.
Description of the invention
The invention relates to a tool storage system according to the preamble of claim 1, wherein the openings in the plate part are elongate and with a width less than the height, the width substantially corresponding to the thickness of a tool holder, and wherein the tool holder is made of a plate material. By manufacturing the tool holder from a sheet material, preferably from a metal sheet such as, for example, a galvanized sheet metal, the advantage is obtained that they can be manufactured by a punching process, where manufacture can take place with a specially designed tool which can form with one or quite a few punches. a finished tool holder. Thus, there is no significant handling of the workpiece, as there is only the punching process and possibly a subsequent treatment of edges where the workpieces are tumbled so that any burrs and sharp edges are removed.
A preferred embodiment of a tool storage system is where the through-openings of the plate part are of a height and a width, the height being at least twice as large as the width, and preferably more than three times the width of the opening. With such high and narrow openings, a good lateral control of the tool holders mounted in the openings is achieved. The tool shelves can advantageously be made of a sheet material, preferably of galvanized sheet metal. This has the advantage that a surface treatment does not have to take place after punching out the individual tool holders. Due to the galvanization performed with zinc, a commonly known "self-healing effect" is achieved on the edge of the tool holders.
Yet another preferred variant of a tool storage system is where the tool holder means for fixing to the plate part are designed as a hook part with a slot, the length of the slot being at least twice as wide as the width of the slot, and preferably more than four times the width of the slot.
3 3DK 2008 00084 U3
An embodiment of the slot of the tool holder has an inner abutment surface and an outer abutment surface, where the outer abutment surface is larger than the inner abutment surface, preferably at least 30% larger.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the slot of the tool holder has a width which substantially corresponds to the thickness of the plate part, and which is preferably between 0.05 and 0.15 millimeters wider than the thickness of the plate part.
With a tool holder as described above, a simple and stable solution is obtained which can fix s in a plate part and which after assembly is so fixed that it is not immediately affected by push and shock to loosen. If you bump into the tool holder with a piece of tool, a self-locking effect occurs, as the design of the slot means that the tool shelves must be lifted vertically up in order to be dismantled. An unintentional push or shock will cause a rotation of the tool holder, which thus locks and becomes stuck without any actual mechanical fixation to the plate part.
A particularly simple and preferred variant of the tool holder is where it is made of a flat plate material. This variant is the simplest, simplest and cheapest variant, which can be easily manufactured by, for example, punching.
A preferred embodiment of the plate part for a tool storage system according to the invention is, where the plate part is made with folded edges, the edges being preferably folded in two steps. For example, the edges can be folded by twice 45 degrees. In this way rigidity is achieved in the plate part and the necessary space for the hook part on the back of the plate part.
In order to be able to use a tool storage system according to the invention in the best way, a plate part can be mounted together with at least one further plate part, the plate parts being made in modules that fit together. For example, the system may have modules with a width of 1 and a height of 1, a width of 1 and a height of 2, a width of 2 and a height of 1 or a width of 2 and a height of 2. With a 4 4DK 2008 00084 U3 such a modular system, it is possible to adapt a tool storage system according to the invention to different conditions.
In the description it is stated that plate part as well as tool holders can be made of galvanized metal plate. However, other materials can also be used and a large proportion of the advantages according to the invention can be obtained. It is, of course, within the normal knowledge of a person skilled in the art to select various suitable materials, and it is of course possible to manufacture plate part and tool holders from different materials, should this be desired.
Brief description of the drawing
The production is described in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which F1G. 1 shows details regarding a tool storage system.
FIG. 2 shows a tool holder seen from the side.
FIG. 3 shows a tool holder seen from the side and mounted in a plate part.
Detailed Description of the Generation In FIG. 1 shows a tool storage system 1, which in principle consists of a plate part 2, where tools can be placed in or on tool holders 3. These tool holders 3 are mounted in openings 4 in the plate part 2. The openings 4 are arranged in rows 5 and columns 6 and the openings 4 has a width 7 and a height 8.1 all the openings 4 tool holders 3 can be mounted.
In FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of a tool holder 3, where there is a hook part 9 and a holder part 10. The holder part 10 is shown here projecting, but can be designed in many different ways. As for the hook part 9, this is formed with a slot 12. The slot 12 has two surfaces, namely an inner surface 13 and an outer surface 14 which is larger than the inner surface 13, as well as a length 15 and a width 16.
In FIG. 3 shows a tool holder 3 mounted in a plate part 2, where the plate part 2 is seen cut through. The slot 12 has a width 16 which is slightly larger than the thickness 17 of the plate part, which means that the tool holder 3 can not be so easily detached from the plate part 2 by an unintentional push or shock. Instead, the tight fit between the slot 12 and the plate part 2 will cause the tool holder 3 to lock in the opening 4 if it is affected by pushing or shocking. To release the tool holder 3 from the plate part 2, it must be guided vertically up the entire length 15 of the slot.
The tool holders 3 can be made in many different shapes and variants as required, but common to all variants is that no further mechanical fixation is necessary and that they can be mounted in a single opening 4.
